- Gears up for Grand Finale/Award Ceremony on 23rd December, 2023
AMARAYA FOUNDATION successfully organised the Championship Examination (Final Stage) of the 2023 Special Edition of All Mbaise Senior Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition (AMSSSMC) at St. Patrick’s Secondary School, Ogbe Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise.
The Championship examination organized by the leading Imo-based humanitarian organization on Saturday, 7th October 2023 involved 68 candidates from 28 Secondary Schools in Mbaise.
The Championship Examination stemmed from the Elimination Examination which held on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023 in 6 Secondary Schools in Mbaise land.
The AMSSSMC which has become so popular since its inception three years ago was initiated by a Lude Ahiara born philanthropist and CEO of AMARAYA FOUNDATION, Comrade Amarachi K. Ogu (Ugwumba I of Mbaise) as part of his vision for qualitative education in our society.
The Championship examination which many members of the Foundation invigilated attracted the presence of the Director General of the Foundation, Dr Kelechi Oguamanam who represented the CEO, Comrade Amarachi K. Ogu.
All the candidates were led to the Examination Venue by their enthusiastic Principals, Deans of Studies and Mathematics teachers. The examination which followed global standards in its setting, timing, supervision and coordination had 50 Objective questions and 10 Essay questions drawn from various branches of Mathematics.
According to the Chairman of the AMSSSMC 2023 Planning Committee, Dr K.C Onyewuenyi, the result of the Championship examination would be ready after 72 hours and all candidates would be notified of their scores through the appropriate communication channels.
The Grand Finale/Award Ceremony of this year’s Competition will hold on 23rd December, 2023 at Chris VI Hotel Ahiara Junction. According to Dr Onyewuenyi, the Foundation is inviting Schools, Churches, Traditional Rulers, the Media and the general public to the Grand Finale where the CEO, Comrade Amarachi Ogu (Ugwumba Mbaise) will present categories of awards and special gifts to winners of the 2023 special edition.
